So, I went to Walmart on Saturday with my mom, sis and Nathan. And if you know me, and can never find me, Im usually there. So we were almost done with our grocery shopping making our way down the aisles and filling our carts to the brim. We had carefully made a list according to the menus we had planned, making shopping an easy flowing experience. So we thought.
I turned the corner to the bread aisle when I started to cough. Then Nathan started to cough and then I noticed everyone around me were coughing. I sniffed the air only to saturate my lungs with nothing but the scent of chili peppers.......burning. Everyone started to look around as the smell began to drift across the stores. Somebody in the deli department had burnt chile peppers. We immediately had to get out of there as Nathan was coughing and getting tear-eyed. Of course, I had already opened a bottle of water and had to wait and pay for it. We left about $200 worth of groceries by the clothes department and briefly mentioned it to the manager. People started to leave by the dozens, leaving a few brave souls.
We walked to the van and began to laugh hysterically. We talked about the reaction of people all the way to Savemart. It was really funny in a serious way.

2009.....Whew!
Okay so its been a few weeks since I've last blogged and I've been busy. My parents decided they wanted another house but don't want to buy and sell at the same time. So they've decided to rent a townhouse for all of us and try to sell their house, even though its probably against all odds. So we are piling a 2000+ sq. ft. house into a 1000 sq ft apartment townhouse.
Seriously, Jon and I are along for the ride and we pray that we'll be in our own place within a year. Its been grand living with the rents but we haven't had a place to call our own in so long (well 7 months) and I miss decorating, entertaining, etc. So we are trusting God and hope that all goes well with Jonny and school. Jonny is working hard in school. There is a major test every week and he can't miss any school. He's up at 4:30 every morning and doesn't get home until 5pm. We are only on one income but after healthcare, taxes, car payment, daycare and debt, we're lucky enough to go out once in a while.
Now please understand that we are so grateful for the things we have and would never trade these opportunities for anything but what God wants for us. And Im not complaining or feeling sorry for ourself. We have great parents that have been through tough times and have helped us, along with great friends too :) We have food, shelter, gas, and we pay our bills on time. We are blessed beyond measure.
Anyways, my friend Brandi wrote on her blog about reading other's blogs and Im so glad that she does because I miss her-so this is for you girl!
This is going to be a good year........for all......even when the storm comes. I'll be there with an umbrella, wanna join me?
