I am really bothered at this moment in time. Not willing to share yet because I don't want to pass judgement until all the facts are gathered. But do you ever feel the pain when something is so wrong but the other party may not see it that way? And its way beyond "Well, I know I'm right..." Its more, like you know you are right and probably can approve it?
Bothered. A little angry. Disappointed. Ashamed. Just remember, we may think we care so much about others but do we? If we say we'll got to bat for someone but we have special requirements? I remember a family in a church we used to attend (up by Sacto) they were a family dealing with poverty, drugs, and probably some mental problems. My heart would burn for them. They used people by telling a sad story that had some truth to it (just a little overrated) Out of money, out of jobs, blended family, used to do drugs, drink, etc. The mother was overzealous and needy and sick. The father was just trying to keep his family afloat. Our pastor at the time, saw the poison and ran. They weren't in the "in" crowd. They didn't pay tithes. And from my outside view I could see their pain and nobody did anything about it. Jon and I did what we could and basically all they needed was somebody to talk to. I was disappointed. Ashamed. Angry. and Bothered.
I believe that churches all have "in" crowds. I believe even the church we attend may have one. I would like to see them destroyed because that folks is what causes division. Sorry its a heavy subject. But I need to vent. WWJD? I could go on....

Monday's Musings
For today...Monday, February 2, 2009
Outside my window...sunshine and a Beautiful day.
I am thinking...about calling an old friend just to say Hi.
I am thankful for...a job with benefits. Everyone is suffering right now.
From the kitchen...a thousand sippy cups with non matching lids.
I am wearing...work clothes.
I am creating...my monthly planner.
I am going...to the store for groceries.
I am reading...some material for a possible promotional position at work.
I am hoping...that everything works out for Jon, he's doing SO GREAT in school.
I am hearing...The Sword in the Stone and Nathan giggling.
Around the house...so much to organize!
One of my favorite things...listening to a good country song loud in the van.
A few plans for the rest of the week: taking Nate to the doctor. Get ready for a friend's baby shower. Organize, Organize, Organize....I think that is my favorite word.
Here is a picture that I'm sharing: I was about 7 months pregnant and I do miss it sometimes.

Just wanted to share a few pictures from Christmas and Moving Month. Nate's favorite part of the new place is the staircase.

Attack of the Hot Chili Peppers
So, I went to Walmart on Saturday with my mom, sis and Nathan. And if you know me, and can never find me, Im usually there. So we were almost done with our grocery shopping making our way down the aisles and filling our carts to the brim. We had carefully made a list according to the menus we had planned, making shopping an easy flowing experience. So we thought.
I turned the corner to the bread aisle when I started to cough. Then Nathan started to cough and then I noticed everyone around me were coughing. I sniffed the air only to saturate my lungs with nothing but the scent of chili peppers.......burning. Everyone started to look around as the smell began to drift across the stores. Somebody in the deli department had burnt chile peppers. We immediately had to get out of there as Nathan was coughing and getting tear-eyed. Of course, I had already opened a bottle of water and had to wait and pay for it. We left about $200 worth of groceries by the clothes department and briefly mentioned it to the manager. People started to leave by the dozens, leaving a few brave souls.
We walked to the van and began to laugh hysterically. We talked about the reaction of people all the way to Savemart. It was really funny in a serious way.

2009.....Whew!
Okay so its been a few weeks since I've last blogged and I've been busy. My parents decided they wanted another house but don't want to buy and sell at the same time. So they've decided to rent a townhouse for all of us and try to sell their house, even though its probably against all odds. So we are piling a 2000+ sq. ft. house into a 1000 sq ft apartment townhouse.
Seriously, Jon and I are along for the ride and we pray that we'll be in our own place within a year. Its been grand living with the rents but we haven't had a place to call our own in so long (well 7 months) and I miss decorating, entertaining, etc. So we are trusting God and hope that all goes well with Jonny and school. Jonny is working hard in school. There is a major test every week and he can't miss any school. He's up at 4:30 every morning and doesn't get home until 5pm. We are only on one income but after healthcare, taxes, car payment, daycare and debt, we're lucky enough to go out once in a while.
Now please understand that we are so grateful for the things we have and would never trade these opportunities for anything but what God wants for us. And Im not complaining or feeling sorry for ourself. We have great parents that have been through tough times and have helped us, along with great friends too :) We have food, shelter, gas, and we pay our bills on time. We are blessed beyond measure.
Anyways, my friend Brandi wrote on her blog about reading other's blogs and Im so glad that she does because I miss her-so this is for you girl!
This is going to be a good year........for all......even when the storm comes. I'll be there with an umbrella, wanna join me?
